EXPEDITIONS IN THE HEART OF THE ATLANTIC OCEAN!
WHALE WATCHING
WILD HEART provide unique and interactive experiences in the marine wildlife oasis of the Azores Islands.
Portugal has a rich diversity of landscapes and wildlife just waiting to be explored with 28 different species every year, and 4 cetacean residents year-round.
The Azores is a group of Portuguese islands found in the middle of the Atlantic, composed of nine islands and are currently one of the biggest whale sanctuaries in the world. You can find some species of whales year-round, while other whales migrate through the Azores on their annual journeys. Whale species are: Blue, Sperm, Mink, Sei, Pilot, Fin, Humpback, False Orca, Pigmy Sperm and countless dolphins.
Our experience will be on the Terceira island – an active volcanic island that also has many extinct volcanoes; home to the Azores' oldest city, "Angra do Heroismo" and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
